BA Management (German Degree)

Bachelor of Arts in Management

The German study program requires six semesters to complete and requires the student to pass 32 courses, which equals 180 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) points.

The goals and the career paths of the German management studies are comparable to the American programs. But the German version is more business-focused, includes less course choices, less general education components, and can be studied within a shorter timeframe (three years). However, the diversity of courses and focus on management skills is still remarkable for a German business program. This can be seen by the impressive results of the program accreditation.

Module Structure: The more limited course choices compared to the US studies also mean that the options for a specialization are smaller. The studies in the German system are structured around modules, summarized in "module areas", and only one of the module areas leaves a choice between a focus on International Management, Finance or Marketing. On the other hand, there is still considerable discretion on how many courses to pick in every single module area.

This is the structure of the business studies as noted in your degree credentials: (For details about the composition of the module areas please download the following files - SPZO, Structure of B.A. studies).
